OMA Awards Programs

Leadership. Innovation. Commitment to patients.

The Oregon Medical Association recognizes exemplary members of our community each year at the OMA Annual Conference. Typically, nominations are accepted during each awards cycle, and the awardees are honored at the Annual Conference. The deadline for submitting nominations is August 11, 2024.

To be eligible for an award, one must be nominated by a peer, colleague, team or community member with the nomination supported by two or three individuals or organizations.

To nominate a candidate, you can either click on one of the links below to complete an online form or send an email to awards@theOMA.org with the following information:
  • Your name
  • Your email address and phone number
  • The name and contact information of the nominee
  • A bio, resumé, or Curriculum Vitae of the nominee. The strongest applications for awards include a resume or Curriculum Vitae of the nominee's education and professional experience. Click here for resources from the AMA to support your nominee in developing a standout medical Curriculum Vitae
  • A letter of why you think the nominee deserves the award including two or three additional signatories. The letter should include specific examples of the nominee's professional and civic accomplishments and should be written from your perspective and experience regarding the nominee, providing in detail the individual's unique and significant contributions.

In keeping with OMA’s diversity, equity and inclusion policy, the awards committee encourages nominations that reflect the association’s commitment to inclusiveness and health equity.
