Firearm Injury Prevention

At the June 2018 meeting, the OMA Board of Trustees voted to establish an OMA Firearms Injury Prevention Task Force, and in June 2019, the group completed a report to the board that proposed a series of recommendations and endorsed a number of strategies to reduce firearm-related injuries and deaths in Oregon.

At the June 1, 2019 Board of Trustees meeting, the board voted to adopt the Task Force’s recommendations, which became official OMA policy.
