Basic Training in Risk Management
The Basic Training workshop is an introductory course for those who have never attended an OMA Loss Prevention course or have not attended within the last 6 years. Participants will review current health law issues, develop strategies for effective communication with patients and their families, and learn effective risk management skills. Basic Training is offered on the following dates:
- Oct. 6 (11 am-2 pm)—OMA Headquarters
- Oct. 23 (11 am-2 pm)—OMA Headquarters
- Nov. 17 (11 am-2 pm)—OMA Headquarters

Advanced Training in Risk Management
The Advanced Training workshop is only for those who have already attended the Basic Training in Risk Management workshop. Health law issues, communication strategies and risk management are covered in more depth. Advanced Training is offered on the following dates:
