Linn-Benton County Scholarship

Since 2001, the Oregon Medical Education Foundation has awarded scholarships to graduates of Linn and Benton County high schools who are seeking a career in medicine (MD or DO degree) or nursing. The scholarship fund was developed from an endowment from the Linn and Benton County Medical Societies. The OMEF Board of Directors voted to release the endowment restriction and awarded the remaining funds this year.

Fourteen scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each were awarded to:

  1. Tyson Adams -- senior at Crescent Valley High School
  2. Ian Coe -- medical student at OHSU
  3. Michaela Corbitt -- senior at Crescent Valley High School
  4. Tiffanie Cuilla -- nursing student at Linn-Benton Community College
  5. Amanda Emmert -- medical student at COMP-Northwest
  6. Jenna Grunwold -- senior at Philomath High School
  7. Kathleen McNabb -- nursing student at George Fox University
  8. Maclean Panshin -- senior at Corvallis High School
  9. Wyndser Peterson -- senior at Corvallis High School
  10. Hannah Schaeffer -- senior at Philomath High School
  11. Jonathan Shader -- medical student at COMP-Northwest
  12. Emily Shaw -- senior at Crescent Valley High School
  13. Jordan Young -- senior at Scio High School
  14. Erica Zaworski -- medical student at COMP-Northwest
