FamilyCare Transition

As you likely know, FamilyCare Health, one of Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) serving roughly 115, 000 Oregonians, has announced its closure. FamilyCare's contract with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) will end as of January 31, 2018, and while OHA has created a dedicated webpage a detailed transition plan for FamilyCare’s enrollees beyond January 2018 is forthcoming.  As always, the OMA will continue to actively advocate on behalf of its members and their patients. In a media release, OHA indicates that they have begun transferring FamilyCare members to the following three CCOs: Willamette Valley Community Health, Health Share of Oregon, or Yamhill Community Care. OHA anticipates the transition should be completed by February 1.  Temporarily assigning enrollees to Open Card (Fee for Service) may also be necessary in some instances.
