Oct. 6–12 is National Physician Assistant Week

During the week of Oct. 6–12, Physician Assistants around the United States, including members of the OMA PA Section, will celebrate National Physician Assistant Week by participating in numerous health care initiatives. It was on Oct. 6, 1967 that the first class of PAs graduated from Duke University in North Carolina. Currently, there are nearly 160 such educational programs nationwide, including programs at OHSU and Pacific University.
