Physician Assistants - Members of the Health Care Team

Physician assistants whose supervising physicians are Active or Associate members of the Oregon Medical Association are also eligible for OMA membership. Below, Pat Kenney-Moore MS, PA-C, Immediate Past President of the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants, provides information on the role of PAs.

Rural Health

The Rural Health Section was established at the January 2012 Board of Trustees meeting in recognition that rural physicians are not adequately represented by existing component and specialty societies within the OMA.

Hospital & Health System Based Physicians & PAs

We live in interesting times; the practice environment continues to change as we work to meet the demands of health reform and ever diminishing health care dollars while continuing to provide great care to patients. Employed physicians and PAs face a unique set of challenges. Fortunately, the OMA is here to help employed physicians and PAs meet those challenges through a newly-created Hospital and Health System Based Physician and PA Section.
