Laser Technology

OMA holds that the use of laser technology for purposes of removing or altering human tissue is the practice of medicine. 
Adopted at the interim House of Delegates, 1992.
Reaffirmed at the annual House of Delegates, 2011.

OMA supports a statutory definition of laser surgery as the practice of medicine.
Adopted at the interim House of Delegates, 1996.
