Statutory Rape, Sexual and Other Forms of Abuse of Minors

OMA encourages its members to meet their legal obligations to report statutory rape and sexual and other forms of abuse. Furthermore, OMA should join with the Oregon Attorney General and the Oregon District Attorneys Association to seek legislation to facilitate the reporting by health care providers of statutory rape, the prosecution of adult males who impregnate minor children and encourage district attorneys to make such prosecution a high priority.
