Economic Impacts of Health Equity

OMA urges the Oregon Legislature to establish a multi-professional, statewide task force to evaluate the impact of health inequity on the state's budget as it pertains to health care expenditures. The OMA formally recognize the need to address the social determinants of health to improve the health of all Oregonians, regardless of socioeconomic status, and to create downstream savings for the state’s budget.
