Third Party Payor Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Statements

OMA is in support of the standardization of third party payor explanations of benefits (EOBs) which are sent with payment for physicians' services so that such explanations conform in size, use of standardized codes, explanation of payment denials, layout of patient identification information, and further include payor name and phone, billed amount, allowed amount, deductibles, patient balance and paid amount.
