Peer Review

OMA supports locally controlled, physician-directed peer review.
Adopted at the interim House of Delegates, 1981.
Reaffirmed at the annual House of Delegates, 2011.


OMA should continue a program, in cooperation with the Oregon Association of Hospitals & Health Systems (OAHHS) to provide peer review and credentialing services to hospitals and medical staffs in cases where local involvement in such activities is difficult or impossible.
