Gender Equity in the Healthcare Profession
The OMA supports gender equity in the healthcare profession. As such, the OMA shall advocate for gender equity in physicians’ and advanced practice clinicians’ compensation and career advancement in all healthcare settings. The OMA shall advocate for industry and organizational policies that promote transparency in defining the criteria for initial and subsequent physicians’ and advanced practice clinicians’ compensation and career advancement. The OMA shall actively work to confront and eliminate barriers to gender equity in healthcare careers and compensation. And finally, the OMA BOT Policy Committee shall develop a set of actionable recommendations, including an implementation plan.
