Clinical Office & Laboratory Accreditation (COLA)
OMA endorses the accreditation program for office laboratories of COLA. OMA will publicize information about COLA and encourage all physicians to seek clinical lab accreditation through COLA in lieu of federal certification and state licensure.
Adopted at the annual OMA House of Delegates, 1995.
Reaffirmed at the annual OMA House of Delegates, 2011.
OMA reaffirmed its endorsement of the COLA program and was to publicize information about COLA and encourage physicians’ use of COLA accreditation for CLIA compliance. In addition, OMA is to acknowledge its endorsement of COLA on its website with a direct link to COLA.
