Telephone Listings

1. WHITE PAGES
   A. Physicians - the names of the physicians in the alphabetical section shall meet the requirements of the Doctor Title Law (ORS 676.100), and may include specialty of practice, telephone company policy permitting.
   B. Clinics or professional corporations - the assumed clinic or Professional Corporation name shall be identified by the requirements of the Doctor Title Law.
   
   
2. CLASSIFIED YELLOW PAGES
   A. Physicians - the purpose of physician listing in the classified section of the telephone directory is to provide the public easy access to a complete listing of physicians and their telephone numbers in a given community. The responsibility for proper listings in the telephone directory rests upon the individual physician. Telephone companies are not expected to enforce ethical standards, but will offer assistance in advising physicians of legal and ethical requirements when appropriate.
   B. Clinics and professional corporations - the names of medical clinics should be listed under the category heading "Physicians and Surgeons - M.D. - Group, Association and Corporate Practice," which would follow the alphabetical listing of all physicians.
