The framework for policy planning and evaluation for the Community Health Committee and the OMA as it considers issues related to public and environmental health will be Healthy People 2020 from the US Dept. of Health and Human Services. Healthy People 2020 Topics and Objectives can be found at
www.healthypeople.gov/2020/default.aspx.
The OMA and the CHC will draw upon this and other evidence-based quality review resources as indicated to determine appropriate policy for OMA’s recommendation, including but not limited to:
- US Preventive Services Task Force (recommendations A and B)
- Advisory Committee on Immunization Policy
- Institute of Medicine
- Agency for Healthcare Research and Policy
- Other evidence-based quality review resources as indicated
As policy becomes governmental rule or regulation, it will be re-examined for potential deletion from the active Where We Stand document but archived in Where We Stood. Annual review of this section will keep it current.
