OMA Practice Roundtable
The OMA Practice Roundtable provides essential education and information specifically designed for medical office practice managers. This collaborative forum offers OMA member practice managers a valuable space to discuss challenging legal and regulatory issues facing managers, physicians and physician associates.
Roundtable topics cover a wide range of practice management concerns, including best practices for caring for the aging patient, office compliance policies and procedures, and clinic de-escalation strategies. Most sessions feature updates from various OMA departments, including Practice Advocacy, Medical-Legal and Government Relations. Each gathering also includes a selection of engaging case studies and discussions led by attendees who bring real-world experience and insights to the group.

Jill Piro, MD, FAAP, FAMIA is a primary care pediatrician and physician informaticist at Legacy Health, where she leads efforts to strengthen the intersection of clinical care, technology, and clinician well-being. With experience as a practicing physician, she brings an understanding of the challenges providers face in today’s healthcare environments. Dr. Piro focuses on incorporating technology into clinical workflows in thoughtful, practical ways, with particular emphasis on advanced EHR support, optimization, and provider training. Her work is grounded in the belief that well-designed digital tools and education should empower clinicians, reduce burnout, and allow providers to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.
Dr. Piro serves as the lead physician for Legacy Health’s ambient AI project using DAX Copilot and will outline the organization’s journey from pilot to more than 500 live licenses, highlighting strong clinician adoption and satisfaction. The presentation will review key outcomes and measures of success, along with lessons learned and best practices for implementing and scaling ambient AI in clinical practice.
